The act of being prepared has enabled humans to both lessen the impact of misfortunes and provide themselves with a basis of reaching a higher level. This in itself has been one of the major factors that had enabled society to develop this far without being destroyed in the process. Along with the everyday preparations that prevent students from failing a class, there are other higher stake preparations that are engrained into certain professions. Major example being doctors, police, and firefighters, unlike failing to be prepared to present a project, individuals in these professions are faced everyday with situations that if they are not properly prepared, could result in much higher and deadly consequence. For those reasons alone, these professionals are put through training, test, and drills that force them to be prepared for all situations. An example of this has recently emerged alongside the many heart shattering stories that resulted from the recent bombings in Boston; one coming from a hospitals that treated the victims of the bombings. If it had not been for the staff being prepared, the scene would have been much more chaotic and more lives would have been lost. Being prepared for the long term is also an important part of survival as well. This would account for any sort of natural disaster, war, or even the end of the world. Preparing supplies, food, water, and any survival plans could possibly be the factor of life and death for you and your family. This type of preparation is more self centered in the way that it would not necessarily benefit strangers who are also in the same situation, but it would more put you at a higher level, providing opportunities that unprepared individuals would not have. However in some more mild cases, this preparation would in fact benefit others around you. For example if for a class project the student that was suppose to present had not been prepared enough to go, if another student had been prepared long term for a situation such as this, it could prevent the teacher from assigning an essay that would have topped off the giant pile of work and stress that the rest of the class is facing due to upcoming AP tests. The bottom line is that human beings, and all successful animals in the wilds, must be prepared before the potential mishaps could occur, people are expected to be prepared for situations that could possibly arise. Whether this would mean the difference between life and death or just ten points of an essay, the skill of being prepared is always good to be utilized. However like any skill, it must be developed and refined over time through consequences that are brought upon oneself through deadly art of procrastinating. As time goes on, and as individuals, society, and the world are hit with many different ranges of situations, we will become more and more prepared for what could lie ahead.

A Separate Peace A Separate Peace by John Knowles is a complex novel that portrays war in many different forms. Gene Forrester was attending Devon School during World War II. This was a representation of different wars he was having within himself. Gene was feeling a kind of jealousy toward his friend Finny. He also felt like Finny was trying to sabotage him with relation to his schoolwork. Lastly Gene felt guilt, guilt from what was described by him as a blind impulse and also from having the truth revealed to him resulting in a fatal accident. Gene fought with his fears throughout the story. He thought that he was a complete person, full of what a man should be, but when he got to Devon and met Finny, he felt he was incomplete, as though he lacked something. He tried to find ways to fill the void by associating with all that Finny did. As a result he did become more well-rounded but he also felt guilt for the consequences. Guilt was also an internal war or conflict Gene had with himself. After jouncing the limb while Finny was on it, Gene sensed he was wrong in doing so but he was not fully regretful. After the truth came out though, and Finny once again broke his leg, Gene did feel complete remorse. At Finnys funeral Gene didnt cry but its not that he was not sad or that he was not sorrowful, but he felt like it was his own funeral and he knew that you dont cry at your own funeral. Gene also thought that Finny was trying to sabotage his schoolwork by taking him places and convincing him to do things that were illogical an d impulsive. Although this was not the case Gene really fought with himself, over-analyzing all of Finnys shenanigans and deciding whether or not they seemed to be plots against him. As Gene went through life he was still not settled by the events that had happened in Devon those years. But in his return to the school he realized that he was coming to terms with what had happened and that he was able to get over the events in his teenage years. Gene had also come to accept himself the way he was and was not try to change. The things that used to scare him in his earlier years now seemed less threatening. Wedges Gamble essays Book Report: Star Wars: X-Wing: Wedges Gamble Lieutenant Corran Horn: The main character of the book. Hes an ex-security man (a police force called CorSec) from the planet Corellia. Finally after going through the galaxy under aliases he joins Rogue Squadron to fight the Empire. He fights for freedom, but his main vendetta is more personal. He went into CorSec because his father did before him. An Imperial Intelligence Officer was also stationed there that had authority over that CorSec office. When he and his father were in a cantina in Corellia, his father was shot and killed before his very eyes. Corran hunted the murderers down and apprehended them. However the Imperial Intelligence Officer in charge, Kirtan Loor, freed them. Since then Corran had no respect for the Empire. He is the best pilot in the squadron, except for Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu. He proves to be resourceful and an excellent fighter pilot. Hes got a resourceful R2 droid, nicknamed Whistler, too. Commander Wedge Antilles: The leader of Rogue Squadron. He formed the squadron with Luke Skywalker after the first Death Star was destroyed, since he and Luke were the only X-wing pilots left after the battle. He proves to be a strong leader knowing how to treat his squadron. Since Rogue Squadron is known to be a threat to the Empire so he has to train his pilots to be the very best. Hes highly charismic. Sometimes has a rough time with a few of his superiors. He is the best pilot in the squadron. He has survived countless battles and entanglements with Imperial ships and fighters. He had to reform the squadron because only 4 of the original pilots remained since Luke and Wedge formed the squadron. Luke went to start reforming the Jedi. Studies show diabetics with high red meat intake have 50 percent higher incidence of heart disease, probably because higher level of the heme iron in red meat. Diabetics who eat more than one egg a day double their heart disease or death risk. For people with diabetes, a relative low amount or animal protein could raise their IGF-1 level. This is the main reason why we restrict animal intakes to only six ounces per week. Plant proteins are less biologically complete. The body has to combine the amino acids for biological completenss, so they do not raise the IGF-1 level like animal proteins do. The evil in Macbeth is clearly omnipresent and an almost endless theme for different analysis. The role of Lady Macbeth is interesting on many levels of interpretation, but I shall focus on her way of being evil and her way of interacting with other characters in the play. Lady Macbeth is characterized at least as complex as her husband, although she is not the traditional tragic hero in the play. And, she succeeds in achieving even more influence on her husband than the witches. Therefore it is worth to deal with an analysis of her conduct, which will show that she has many faces - though all of them are a sign of her evocation of the evil and, make her to a second Eve in the fall of men.
